This should really be called Native basil as its taste is much more of basil than thyme. If this herb has a drawback it is that the taste is not that different to conventional basil, thus losing some uniqueness.
Year round. Flowers in summer
Hot, arid inland regions - Qld, NSW, SA, NT and WA
Low rainfall regions.
Leaf herb - most especially Mediterranean herbs.
Hand. Mechanisation as per other leaf herbs
Fresh, dried, dried and ground
As for thyme or basil
Phelps (*) has quoted 100-300 kg pa demand in short term.
